Yet Another Sign of the Times

We had our first trash day after Christmas. Normally this is huge mess with piles upon piles in front of every house.

Not so this year. If you didn't know what week it was you would have thought it was any other trash day. No giant boxes filled with other boxes. No overflowing heaps edging into the street. Just a regular pickup.

Did anyone else notice this?

Good point. Of course we spent Christmas at OD's house! Now that there is just the 2 of us, we rarely have the can filled anyway unless we have been doing some decluttering. It will be filled next week hopefully!

Yes! It happened here too. We had a very nice Christmas, but the room was not overflowing with boxes and boxes of gifts. I didn't spend hours wrapping, yet everyone got nice gifts, and didn't seem to mind that we didn't go overboard. I hope that we will all appreciate that we won't still be paying for Christmas in June!

Well I have not been able to put anything in the community cardboard recycling dumpsters here since Christmas. They are overfull.

I did noticed that not a lot of people decorated this Christmas and no big piles of cardboard.
