I don't normally buy a lot of "stuff". I prefer to save my money and not have too many things taking up space in my house.
Usually when I see something in a store that catches my eye, I admire it for a minute or two then put it away and keep going. Most of the time, I've forgotten about it by the time I get to the parking lot.
I came across an exception this month. I was at Hallmark buying invitations for a party a few weeks ago and I saw one of their seasonal items, called Happy Tappers. They're these little figurines encased in small plastic globes. They sing and tap dance and if you buy more than one, you can hook them up and they dance together. They're as cute as can be! But, like most cute things I see, I put them back and when on about my day.
Only this time I didn't forget about them. They kept popping back into my mind and I realized that I really, really wanted them. This happens about once in a blue moon, so it surprised me.
I decided there was really no reason not to get them, so I went out today to pick them up. When I got there, I was pleased to find that while they had once been $9.95 each with any purchase, they had been marked down to $6.95 each and the purchase requirement had been waived!
I was able to pick up a whole set and an extra one for my grandma for less than it would have cost to get to get just mine.
I have them set up on my counter and they make me smile every time I look at them. They're just life threateningly cute!!!
It's nice to get a little treat every once in a while.

Here's a link to them at the Hallmark website--they even have a little video that shows how they dance.
