Teeth, teeth, everywhere...
March 6th, 2008 at 06:29 pmTeeth are expensive!
I just had the cats into the vet for teeth cleaning today--between the cleaning and the kidney infection they found in Diana, I walked out just shy of $600.
What's more, I had been having trouble with one of my teeth--it hurt and things kept getting stuck in there. I went to the dentist only to find that an entire piece of the tooth chipped off. There was a large filling in the tooth and it's possible that it just wasn't strong. Since there's already a filling and I'm missing a big chunk, they need to do a crown. Lovely.
My gums have also started receding a bit, so I need a deeper cleaning on my molars. Plus I've got 5 (count 'em, 5!) small cavities on various molars. I swear I brush my teeth--I just have super deep grooves in my molars and they can be prone to decay. Between the crown, cleaning, and cavities, I'm looking at $1,100 out of pocket!!!
Who knew teeth could cost so much money?
